Job summary

Paradigm Health in Indiana is seeking a Full Time Hospice Music Therapist to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care within a family-oriented hospice team. You will conduct comprehensive music therapy assessments within five days of care start, tailor treatment plans, and collaborate with the care team to support patients and families.

The role covers Central Indiana and surrounding communities, with Monday–Friday 8a–5p hours, competitive salary, mileage reimbursement, and a strong PTO

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy.
• Board Certified (MT-BC).
• Proof of current classroom CPR.
• Current Driver's License.
• Must have reliable transportation and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and comprehensive music therapy assessments within a 5-day window from the start of care date.
• Adapt existing or create new music therapy assessment instruments or procedures to meet individual patient needs.
• Analyze data to determine effectiveness of treatments and recommend therapy approaches.
• Review research or literature in music therapy or related disciplines.
• Assess patient functioning levels and design customized treatment programs.
• Communicate assessment findings and recommendations to the care team in various formats.
• Coordinate with the treatment team to develop and integrate plans.
• Design music therapy experiences to meet patient and family goals.
• Establish realistic patient goals for music therapy treatment.
• Improvise music therapy interventions as needed and document progress.
• Plan and structure sessions to meet treatment plans and transitions.
• Play instruments such as keyboard, guitar, or percussion.
