Job summary

Qualifications

• State licensure to practice as a music therapist.
• Current CPR certification.
• Hospice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide music therapy services per an individualized care plan.
• Assess and document therapeutic status and progress.
• Direct music therapy treatment and determine priority needs.
• Instruct families/caregivers and staff in aspects of music therapy.
• Prepare clinical and progress summaries of goals achieved.
• Provide music therapy consultation to families and caregivers.
• Deliver in-service education for nursing staff as needed.
• Engage in interdisciplinary care groups and quality improvement activities.
