Job summary

Hospice of Marion County, part of Empath Health, seeks an LPN for the Crisis Care Team to support patients and families during critical moments. Night shift 8pm-8am, 36 hours per week, with coverage across Marion County.

Role includes monitoring needs, skilled nursing under supervision, medication administration, and education of the community about Empath Health philosophy. Join a mission-driven team delivering Full Life Care for All.

Qualifications

• LPN licensure required for practicing in Florida.
• CPR certification required or obtained within six months of hire.
• IV therapy certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Must have reliable transportation to cover field visits.

Responsibilities

• Monitor physical, functional, psychological, social, and spiritual needs and provide emergent nursing interventions.
• Provide nursing care under Primary RN direction to crisis care team patients and families.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document per MAR process.
• Offer compassionate care before, during, and after death with the patient and primary caregiver.
• Educate the community about Empath Health philosophy and participate in nursing functions.
