Job summary

Hospice of Marion County, part of Empath Health, seeks a caring RN Care Center PRN for our Hospice House in Summerfield. 12-hour shifts, at least 4 shifts per month (including some weekend days) with potential assignments at Ocala Hospice Houses as needed.

The RN will provide end-of-life care, assess needs, administer medications, educate patients and families, supervise LPNs and HHAs, and collaborate with the IDT to ensure compassionate Full Life Care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing from a two-year program or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of current active nursing experience; preferred in terminally ill or life-threatening illnesses.
• Florida RN license required and valid Florida driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient history and perform age-specific physical, psychosocial, and spiritual assessments; initiate referrals and collaborate with IDT.
• Develop and update Plan of Care with patient, family, and IDT; act as case manager as needed; monitor progress.
