Job summary

Visiting Nurse Association of Texas seeks a dedicated Hospice Aide to provide compassionate, hands-on care for patients at home. You will build trusting relationships, monitor safety, and support the clinical team with daily tasks to uphold comfort and dignity.

Ideal candidates bring nursing assistance training and a valid driver’s license, with a focus on compassionate service and strong communication in English. This is a full-time role operating in North Texas homes.

Qualifications

• Education: Nurse aide training or approved competency eval per Medicare regulations.
• Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• At least 1 year of hospice/healthcare experience preferred or CNAs/CNA program completion.
• English reading/writing ability and follow written/verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide High-Touch Personal Care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting per care plans.
• Support Nutrition & Wellness: ensure hydration and proper nutrition for comfort.
• Ensure Safety & Mobility: safe transfers and ambulation to keep patients mobile.
• Clinical Collaboration: report changes to RN supervisors promptly.
• Champion Dignity: maintain clean, safe environment and protect patient privacy.
