Job summary

ExcelaCare Hospice - Lubbock is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to join our PRN team. The CNA will provide essential care to patients, ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being while collaborating with nursing staff to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, mobility, vital signs, basic medical procedures under supervision, documentation, and effective communication with patients and families in a compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Nursing Assistant course and state certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Provide mobility assistance including walking, transferring, and positioning.
• Measure and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with basic medical procedures under supervision of licensed staff.
• Collect specimens for lab tests as directed.
• Document patient condition and care in medical records.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team.
