Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to patient under direction of the RN.
• Assists the patient with safe transfers and ambulation.
• Reports changes and documents pertinent information and care rendered.
• Practices accepted infection control principles.
• Promotes positive, supportive communication to patient/family.
• Provides an environment that respects patient privacy.
• Assists the patient with proper nutrition and fluid intake.
• Contributes to the efficient operation of the Hospice.
• Performs treatments and procedures according to the Hospice policy.
• Promotes the Hospice philosophy to ensure quality of care.
