Job summary

Sanctuary Hospice is seeking a Per Diem Hospice Aide (CNA) to join our compassionate team providing hands-on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life. You will work closely with our nursing staff to address physical, emotional, and personal needs with respect and professionalism.

Schedule: Per Diem, As Needed 7 am - 3:30 pm; Coverage area includes Crystal Lake, McHenry, Algonquin, Lake Zurich and Fox Lake.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA certificate active in state.
• Minimum one year CNA experience in acute or long-term care; hospice a plus.
• CPR certification if state-mandated.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care according to the care plan.
• Assist with personal care tasks to maintain comfort and dignity.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and support to patients.
• Support families with knowledge and guidance for terminal care.
• Maintain accurate documentation per agency/state standards.

Education

Current unencumbered C.N.A. certificate (state)
