Job summary

Gentiva seeks a compassionate Hospice Aide/CNA to provide hands-on personal care and emotional support to patients in their homes or care settings. You will assist with hygiene, mobility, meals, and daily activities while documenting visits and observing patient conditions.

Ideal candidates have a current CNA license, CPR certification, and at least 6 months of direct patient care experience, with reliable transportation and a caring, adaptable approach to end‑of‑life care.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license in the state of employment (Required).
• Current CPR certification (Required).
• Six (6) months of direct patient care experience (Required).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
• Support safe mobility with walkers and wheelchairs.
• Help with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition.
• Offer emotional support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation of visits.
• Attend team meetings and participate in Quality Improvement activities.
