Job summary

Gentiva Hospice is seeking a dependable Hospice Aide/CNA to provide direct personal care and emotional support to patients in home settings, assisted living facilities, or inpatient units. You will work under the supervision of the clinical team, document visits accurately, and participate in safety and infection control practices while delivering compassionate end-of-life care.

This role requires current CNA license, CPR, reliable vehicle, and at least 6 months of direct patient care

Qualifications

• Active CNA license in the state of employment is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Six months of direct patient care experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
• Support safe mobility using walkers and wheelchairs.
• Help with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition.
• Offer emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation of visits.
• Attend team meetings and participate in QI activities.
• Practice infection control and follow safety protocols.
