Job summary

Gentiva is seeking a dependable Hospice Aide to provide compassionate personal care and emotional support to patients at home, in assisted living, or inpatient units across Minnesota. The role requires an active CNA license and CPR certification, plus a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, hygiene, mobility support, meal assistance, and accurate documentation. Full-time benefits enhance compensation and total rewards.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license in the state of employment is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance are required.
• Six months of direct patient care experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients.
• Assist with hygiene, grooming and toileting.
• Support safe mobility using walkers and wheelchairs.
• Prepare meals, assist feeding and light housekeeping.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition.
• Offer emotional support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation of visits.
• Attend team meetings and participate in QI activities.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
