Job summary

Area Agency on Aging of Western Arkansas, Inc. seeks a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant to provide daily living and personal care in patients' homes or facilities in Fort Smith, AR. The role follows an established care plan to support independence and safety.

Current Arkansas CNA certification is strongly preferred. Paid training, and a competitive wage of $17.00 per hour, are offered along with a team-oriented work environment in the Nursing department.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate issued from the state of Arkansas.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation and proof of state required vehicle insurance.
• Current negative TB skin test or state health card.
• Certified in CPR/First Aid.
• Must pass background checks, maltreatment checks, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Support patients with daily living skills, housekeeping and meal preparation per care plan.
• Provide personal care such as grooming, bathing and dressing.
• Assist with mobility, transfers and exercise as needed.
• Offer companionship and ensure safety during caregiver absence.
• Follow care plans and document changes in EMR systems.
