Job summary

Gentiva Hospice is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide/CNA to provide hands-on, in-home and facility care for patients at the end of life. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient status, document visits, and offer emotional support to patients and families.

We value dependability, empathy, and the ability to work independently in home settings and hospice units. This is a safety-sensitive, full-time role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license in the state of employment (Required).
• Current CPR certification (Required).
• Driver’s license and reliable vehicle with insurance (Required).
• Six months of direct patient care experience (Required).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
• Support safe mobility, including use of walkers and wheelchairs.
• Help with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping.
• Observe and report changes in the patient’s physical or mental condition.
• Offer emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of visits.
• Attend team meetings and participate in Quality Improvement activities.
