Job summary

Gentiva is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide / CNA to provide hands-on personal care and emotional support to patients at home, in assisted living facilities, or inpatient units. If you are driven to make a meaningful difference in end-of-life care, join our dedicated hospice team.

Requirements include an active CNA license in the state, current CPR certification, and a valid driver's license with insurance.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license in the state of employment is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Driver's license and reliable vehicle with insurance are required.
• Six months of direct patient care experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients.
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting.
• Support safe mobility, including use of walkers and wheelchairs.
• Help with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping.
• Observe and report changes in the patient’s physical or mental condition.
• Offer emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of visits.
• Attend team meetings and participate in Quality Improvement activities.
• Practice infection control and follow safety protocols at all times.
