Job summary

Anodyne Palliative Services in the Chicago area is seeking dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants to provide compassionate in-home and facility-based care to hospice patients. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, aid with meals, and document care in medical records to support quality of life at the end of life.

The position offers flexible scheduling (full-time, part-time, PRN, or per diem) with a minimum of 3 hours per week and a focus on patient comfort, dignity, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CNA program or equivalent training.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and documentation systems.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and empathetic towards patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance to hospice patients in their homes or healthcare facilities.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
• Assist with medication reminders and administration.
• Document patient care activities and observations in medical records.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
