New Century Hospice in Austin, TX is seeking a dependable Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide compassionate, hands-on care in patients’ homes, facilities, or inpatient units.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license in the state of employment (Required).
• Current CPR certification (Required).
• Six months of direct patient care experience (Required).
• Comfortable working in home settings and hospice facilities.
• Willingness to work independently and adapt to patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting
• Support safe mobility with walkers and wheelchairs
• Help with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping
• Observe and report changes in patient condition
• Offer emotional support to patients and families
• Maintain accurate documentation of visits
• Attend team meetings and participate in Quality Improvement activities
• Practice infection control and safety protocols
