Job summary

Hospice of Central PA seeks a Chaplain - Home Hospice on a per diem basis to support spiritual care needs in the community. The role collaborates with Home Hospice teams to assess and address patients and caregivers' spiritual care needs. May provide coverage in the inpatient center in Mount Joy and requires completing 6-8 weeks of FT day shift orientation. Service area includes Lancaster and York counties.

This position emphasizes compassionate ministry and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

M.Div. or equivalent from an accredited college or university is required.
4 units of CPE required.
Endorsement and ordination or commissioning to function in the ministry of spiritual care by a recognized faith group is preferred but not required.
APC or SCA board certification required within 5 years of hire.
Muste be vaccinated for influenza or be granted an exemption.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Home Hospice teams to assess and address spiritual care needs of patients and caregivers.
Provide spiritual care support in the community; may cover inpatient center in Mount Joy as needed.
Complete 6–8 weeks of a full-time, day-shift orientation.
