Job summary

Hospice of Central PA seeks a Chaplain for Home Hospice on a per diem basis. The role collaborates with Home Hospice teams to assess and address spiritual care needs of patients and caregivers, with possible coverage in the Mount Joy inpatient center.

Requires M.Div. or equivalent, 4 CPE units, and APC/SCA certification within 5 years of hire. Per diem shifts include community coverage across Lancaster, York and surrounding counties; influenza vaccination or exemption is required.

Qualifications

• M.Div. or equivalent from an accredited college or university is required.
• 4 units of CPE required.
• Ecclesiastical endorsement and ordination or commissioning to function in the ministry of spiritual care by a recognized faith group is preferred but not required
• Board Certification through Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) or through the Spiritual Care Association (SCA) is required within 5 years of hire.
• Must be vaccinated for influenza or be granted a religious/medical exemption.

Per Diem Requirements:

• 2 shifts/month
• 1 holiday/year
• 4 weekends per year
