Job summary

Enlight Hospice of VA is seeking a compassionate Hospice Bath Aide to provide personal care in patients' homes and other care settings under the RN Case Manager. You will assist with bathing, grooming, transferring, vital signs, and safety while upholding dignity and comfort for hospice patients in the Richmond area.

The position is PRN/Part-Time, with a flexible schedule and opportunities to work in a supportive interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering personal care in home settings.
• Ability to observe and report changes in patient condition.
• Ability to follow a patient-specific Plan of Care.
• Reliable, compassionate, and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, oral care, skin care and other personal-care tasks.
• Assist with transfers, ambulation and positioning as directed.
• Record vital signs when required by the Plan of Care.
• Report patient condition changes to the RN Case Manager promptly.
• Use wheelchairs, walkers, Hoyer lifts and other equipment safely.
• Provide catheter and ostomy care after competency is verified.
• Assist with light housekeeping and laundry per Plan of Care.
• Document all services completely and on time.
• Follow HIPAA, infection-control and safety requirements.
