Job summary

Longleaf Hospice and Palliative Care in Georgia seeks an attentive Hospice Aide to provide compassionate in-home and facility care. You will assist with personal care, meals, mobility, and daily living activities, while ensuring safety and comfort for patients.

You will report changes to the supervising nurse and maintain dignity and privacy at all times. Required training per state standards and CPR, valid driver’s license with reliable insured vehicle, and strong communication skills are

Qualifications

• State training program/comparable licensure requirements: S 484.36(a)-(b) or 42 CFR 484.36(b)
• Good verbal and written communication and problem solving skills
• Valid driver’s license; reliable insured vehicle for home visits required
• Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care needs and assist with activities of daily living
• Attend to safety needs and use equipment safely
• Provide baths, oral hygiene, shampoos, and linen changes as assigned
• Assist with dressing, meals, and mobility
• Monitor skin condition and report changes to supervising nurse
• Assist with ambulation and prescribed exercises
• Assist with bedpans/urinals and light laundry
• Maintain clean and orderly living area and document care per procedures
