Job summary

Choice Hospice, Inc. is seeking a Hospice Aide (HHA) for its Enid, OK location. This full-time role supports patient care in the patient’s residence, collaborates with RN supervision, and helps maintain a safe, clean environment in line with the agency plan of care.

The Hospice Aide will assist with transfers, document care, ensure infection control, and communicate observations to the supervisor. A compassionate team environment and patient-centered care are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Current CNA/HHA and LTC certifications are required.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
• HomeCare HomeBase experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to patients under direction of the RN and according to the Aid Plan of Care.
• Assist with safe transfers and ambulation per agency policy.
• Report changes and document pertinent information to ensure continuity of care.
• Practice infection control principles to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Communicate respectfully with patients, families and staff.
• Promote privacy, dignity and safe handling of patient belongings.
• Assist with proper nutrition and fluid intake as needed.
• Demonstrate time management and contribute to operational efficiency.
• Perform treatments and procedures according to agency policy.
• Support the agency philosophy and policies to ensure quality of care.
