Job summary

Lighthouse Hospice NJ is seeking a compassionate Part Time Hospice Aide (CNA/HHA) to join our dedicated team in the Mercer County area. You will work closely with our nursing staff to provide hands-on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 4 PM to 8 PM. A High School diploma or GED, valid HHA/CNA license, CPR if required, and dependable transportation are required. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and supportive onboarding.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Valid HHA or CNA license required.
• Minimum of 6 months hospice or skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• CPR certification if state-mandated.
• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care following the care plan to ensure patient comfort and well-being.
• Assist with personal care needs including bathing, oral hygiene, bedding, clothing, and grooming.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and compassionate support to patients and families.
• Support families by sharing knowledge and guiding them through caregiving for terminally ill loved ones.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic or paper records per agency standards.
