OurCare of Connecticut is hiring Homemakers and Companions in New Milford CT. We provide non-medical support, companionship, and household assistance to help seniors and individuals with disabilities live independently at home.

As a Homemaker/Companion you’ll offer companionship, assist with daily living activities, light housekeeping, errands, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment. Competitive pay and flexible full-time or part-time schedules are available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a caregiving or companion role.
• Reliable, trustworthy and compassionate.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical services including companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, cleaning).
• Run errands, grocery shop, and accompany clients to appointments or social activities.
• Monitor client safety and report concerns to the agency or family.
• Encourage client independence while providing supportive presence.
