Job summary

MO-Visiting Nurse Association of Greater St Louis is seeking a PRN Nurse Aide to support home health and hospice patients. You will assist with daily care, monitor vitals, and collaborate with RNs and families to enhance comfort and quality of life.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, safety, and efficient care delivery in a home setting. Prior CNA training is required, with on-call hours and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved nurse aide training program and passing grade on state exam.
• No experience required.
• Proof of motor vehicle liability insurance upon hire and upon request.

Responsibilities

• Receives patient care assignment from the RN in charge and initiates delegated tasks.
• Collects and documents data for admissions and reassessments for the patient population.
• Contributes to safety and quality care by charting and communicating with the team.
• Notifies licensed nurse of changes in patient condition and educational needs.
• Assists patients with daily activities, vital signs, baths, transfers, and basic personal care.
• Prepares patients for discharge and accompanies them at dismissal as indicated.
