Job summary
Amedisys Home Health is seeking a PRN Day Shift Home Health Aide to perform patient-to-patient visits in patients' homes. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and help patients maintain comfort and safety in the home environment. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, current CNA certification, CNA experience within the last two years, CPR certification, and the ability to pass the care center competency program.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Current state certification as a nurse assistant (CNA).
CNA experience within the last two years; if more than two years, additional training is required.
Must pass the care center competency program.
Current CPR certification.
Responsibilities
Obtains temperature, pulse, blood pressure and respiration.
Maintains a clean, safe, and healthy environment.
Assists patient with bed mobility, bathing, hygiene and toileting.
Prepares meals or assists with meals.
Performs light homemaking and other environmental services.
Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient status.
Recognizes emergency situations and follows appropriate procedures.
Follows infection prevention and safety protocols.
Assists with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
