Job summary

Home Matters Caregiving in the Greater Boston West area is hiring Personal Care Assistants for in-home care. You will assist clients with daily living activities, provide nutrition support, supervise medications, and help maintain a safe, clean living environment while building trusting relationships.

We offer flexible scheduling (full-time or part-time), paid time off, paid training, and a referral program.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in home care or as a Personal Care Assistant.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Experience or training in dementia care is highly desirable.
• A valid driver's license may be required depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
• Medication reminders and documentation
• Support clients with mobility and physical exercises as needed.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations or activities.
• Assist with dementia care and provide specialized support for cognitive impairments.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and family members regarding client needs and progress.
