Job summary

Montage Health is seeking a Home Health Aide to provide nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Duties include personal care, vital signs, and light housekeeping in patients' homes or facilities.

Required CA HHA certification, BLS, and a valid CA driver’s license. Orientation and competency assessments are part of onboarding; driving is a daily requirement with DMV pull-notice program in place. Per diem schedule 0800-1630.

Qualifications

• One year experience in the last five years in a skilled nursing facility, acute care setting, or home health agency preferred.
• Spanish speaking preferred.
• Level of education sufficient to obtain CA HHA certification.
• Must pass orientation and initial competency assessment prior to independent assignment.
• Must complete and pass all annual competencies.
• State of California HHA certificate required.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.
• Must possess a valid California driver’s license.
• Automobile insurance as required by the State of California with an acceptable driving record of three points or less, participation in the DMV pull-notice program, and an automobile available for daily work.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to assigned patients under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist with bathing, showering, oral care, pericare, and vital signs.
• Perform light housekeeping as needed at patient homes or facilities.
