Job summary

Waterview Nursing Care Center seeks a dedicated Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our care team in providing compassionate, patient-focused ADL support to residents. Under RN supervision, the HHA will assist with daily activities, monitor wellbeing, and ensure comfort and dignity in line with each resident's care plan.

The role emphasizes companionship, safety, accurate documentation, and adherence to facility policies while promoting high-quality, person-centered care in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid HHA certification in the state of [State].
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred or required depending on state).
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, and staff.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and assist residents as needed.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents.
• Assist with exercises and mobility as directed by care plans or physical therapy.
• Assist with feeding residents and ensuring proper hydration.
• Document care provided and resident responses accurately.
• Comply with all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold dignity and respect.
