Job summary

Waterview Nursing Care Center is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) to join the care team at our skilled nursing facility. You will assist residents with activities of daily living, ensuring comfort, dignity, and well-being under licensed nursing supervision.

Responsibilities include monitoring changes, providing companionship, maintaining a safe environment, and supporting mobility and feeding as outlined in care plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid HHA certification in the state of [State].
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred or required depending on state).
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, and staff.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and assist residents as needed.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents.
• Help residents with exercises and mobility as directed by care plans or physical therapy.
• Assist with feeding residents and ensuring proper hydration.
• Document care provided and resident responses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Comply with all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold dignity and respect at all times.
