Job summary

A Place at Home is seeking a dedicated Home Health Aide to join our in-home care team. You will assist clients with ADLs, meal planning, medications reminders, mobility and companionship, under the supervision of our registered nurses to ensure the best care possible in the clients' homes.

We value reliable, compassionate caregivers with a state-approved Home Health Aide certification, a clean background, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Completion of state-approved Home Health Aide certification course.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Compassionate, empathetic, with a strong desire to improve the lives of others.
Ability to work independently with organization and patience.
Physically able to perform duties including lifting.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
Assisting with meal planning and preparation, observing dietary restrictions as needed.
Assisting with medication reminders per care plan.
Light housekeeping (dusting, vacuuming, laundry) to maintain a clean home.
Assisting with mobility and transfers, ensuring client safety.
Providing companionship and nurturing client relationships.
