Job summary

A Place at Home is seeking a Home Health Aide to join our in-home care team. You will provide ADL support, assist with meals, medication reminders, and light housekeeping to maintain a safe, comfortable home for clients under nurse supervision.

The ideal candidate holds a state-approved HHA certification, a high school diploma, and can pass a background check and drug test. Strong communication and empathy are essential for quality care.

Qualifications

• Completion of state-approved Home Health Aide certification course.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• Strong communication and compassionate bedside manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Assist with meal planning and preparation, observe dietary restrictions.
• Assist with medication reminders per care plan.
• Perform light housekeeping to keep client home clean.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety.
• Provide companionship and support.
• Document changes to supervising nurse.
• Follow HIPAA and protect client PHI.
• Participate in ongoing training and development.
