Job summary

Visiting Angels of Reading is currently looking for a Home Health Aide - HHA to work in and around Berks and Northern Chester County. We offer day, evening, and overnight shifts with both part-time and full-time positions available.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 months experience caring for seniors or disabled adults. Reliable transportation is a must, and compassion plus professionalism are essential for this rewarding role.

Qualifications

Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 6 months experience in caring for Seniors and/or Disabled Adults professionally or personally.
Reliable transportation is a must.
Reliability and professionalism are very important.
Must enjoy assisting in the needs of others.
Dementia/Alzheimer's experience a plus.
CNA a plus is not a requirement.

Responsibilities

Assisting clients with personal care services such as oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming
Medication reminders
Light housekeeping including laundry, dishes and vacuuming
Planning, preparing and serving meals
Assistance with transfers, walking and physical activity
Assistance with transportation to appointments, activities, errands, and shopping
Providing companionship and cheerful, positive assistance at all times
