Job summary

Home Matters Caregiving is seeking Personal Care Assistants to join our in-home care team in the Greater Boston West area. You will assist clients with daily living activities, meal preparation, mobility support, and provide companionship to improve well-being.

The role requires 6 months of home care experience, English fluency, and the ability to pass a background check. Experience in dementia care is preferred, and a driver’s license may be needed for client mobility.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in home care or as a Personal Care Assistant.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• A heart for compassionate, high-quality in-home care.
• Experience or training in dementia care is highly desirable.
• A valid driver’s license may be required depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
• Medication reminders and documentation
• Support clients with mobility and physical exercises as needed.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations or activities.
• Assist with dementia care, providing specialized support for individuals with cognitive impairments.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and family members regarding client needs and progress.
