Job summary

Gratitude Homecare of New Jersey is seeking compassionate caregivers to join our family-owned team. You will provide one-on-one in-home care, assisting with personal hygiene, meals, mobility, medication reminders, and daily living activities for seniors in their homes.

We offer competitive pay, flexible schedules, and growth opportunities. Previous healthcare or in-home care experience is preferred, with shifts that may include nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation daily.
• Able to work one-on-one with clients and show compassion.
• Willing to work nights and/or weekends.
• Hoyer Lift experience (client-specific).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
