Job summary

First in Care Home Health Agency, Inc. is seeking qualified caregivers to provide one-on-one, in-home care in Parrish, FL. Full-time positions with 12-hour shifts and weekend coverage are available. Pay is based on experience and history.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license or State ID, CPR, and background screening, among other requirements. We offer a supportive office staff, quick hiring, and mileage reimbursement. RN on staff assists with clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Current and valid driver’s license or State ID (Required).
• Social Security Card or valid green card (Required).
• Proof of automobile insurance.
• CPR card (Required).
• TB test (required within a year and redone annually).
• Health statement/physical (Required; must be done within 6 months of application).
• Level II Background Screening (Required).
• Must provide references (2 work and 1 personal).
• Must work every other weekend (Required).
• Must take and pass the Home Health Aide Competency Test.
• Must be at least 18 years old (Required).
• Ability to read, write, speak, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Monitors patient condition by observing physical and mental status, intake and output, and exercise.
• Provides housekeeping and laundry services; shops for food and other household items; prepares and serves meals and snacks; runs errands to support the patient.
• Assists patients with personal care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Teaches patients to use aids and utensils; demonstrates techniques and equipment for personal hygiene.
• Educates family members on safe lifting and repositioning, nutrition, cleanliness, and housekeeping to care for the patient at home.
