Job summary

First Day Homecare - NC Southeast is seeking a part-time Home Health Aide to provide compassionate personal care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Therapist. The role includes assisting clients with Activities of Daily Living, and, where authorized, transporting clients as dictated by the care plan.

Qualifications

• Formal certification training program completed.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, write, and follow a written care plan.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements and in good repair.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and, if authorized, transportation to clients according to the care plan.
• Assist client with general Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, meals, and safe ambulation/transfers.
• Report any changes in the client’s condition to the supervisor as outlined in the care plan.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records for the Agency.
• Work collaboratively with the client’s care team and ensure effective communication.
• Promote client safety by following infection control practices and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Attend in-service programs to meet compliance and notify supervisors of any educational needs.
