Job summary

First Day Homecare® is seeking a dedicated Aide to provide personal care services under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Therapist in client homes. You will be assigned to specific clients and support their comfort and well-being in collaboration with the care team.

The role may require weekend or evening visits and participation in an on-call rotation. A formal certification, CPR, a state-licensed driver’s license, and strong communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a formal certification training program.
• Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and follow a written care plan.
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements and in good repair.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and, if authorized, transportation to clients according to the care plan.
• Assist client with general Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, meals, and safe ambulation/transfers.
• Report any changes in the client’s condition to the supervisor as outlined in the care plan.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records for the Agency.
• Work collaboratively with the client’s care team and ensure effective communication.
• Promote client safety by following infection control practices and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Attend in-service programs to meet compliance and notify supervisors of any educational needs.
