Job summary

First Day Homecare® in San Antonio, TX seeks aides to provide compassionate personal care under RN/therapist direction. You will be assigned to clients to support comfort and well-being while following a structured care plan. This role is PRN/Part-Time with flexible scheduling, suitable for caregivers with a patient-first mindset.

Responsibilities include ADLs, companionship, safe transfers, and timely reporting. CPR and TB tests must be current, and driving with a insured vehicle is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year full-time direct client care in an institutional setting or agency setting within the last 5 years.
• Completion of Texas-regulation training/competency program or nursing student with verified skills.
• Listed on Texas Nurse Aide Registry in good standing (if applicable).
• Be at least 18 years old and able to read, write, and follow care plans.
• Current CPR certification and TB test within required timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and, if authorized, transportation to clients per care plan.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, meals, and safe transfers.
• Report changes to supervisor and document care provided.
• Collaborate with care team and ensure clear communication.
• Follow infection control practices to promote client safety and report unsafe conditions.
