Job summary

First Day Homecare is seeking dependable PRN/Part-Time caregivers to join our growing team in the San Antonio area. Hours will vary based on client needs and availability, with opportunities for additional hours as we expand our census.

You will provide personal care under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Therapist, assist with activities of daily living, and help coordinate transport when authorized.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of direct client care experience.
• Active CPR certification.
• Recent TB test (12 months).

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and, if authorized, transportation to clients per care plan.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, meals, safe ambulation/transfers).
• Report changes to the supervisor per care plan.
• Document care provided and maintain records for the Agency.
• Work collaboratively with the client’s care team and communicate effectively.
• Promote client safety by infection control practices and report unsafe conditions.
• Attend in-service programs to meet compliance and notify supervisors of educational needs.
