Job summary

Signature Healthcare at Home in Pierce County is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide in-home care across the service area. The role includes assisting clients with ADLs, light housework, meal prep, and errands, with opportunities for RN-delegated tasks where trained.

You will maintain detailed documentation, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Washington State HCA certification or active HCA training status.
• Or current Washington State CNA license in good standing.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willing to obtain.
• Food Handlers permit, or willing to obtain.
• Ability to pass background check and meet state licensing requirements.
• Ability to pass drug testing.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: prior experience in home care, home health, or senior living.
• Preferred: experience with dementia or chronic conditions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, transfers, toileting, and ambulation as directed by the service plan.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, meal prep, shopping, and errands as needed.
• Under RN delegation, perform delegated nursing tasks such as vital signs and basic care when trained.
• Document all services on the same day they are provided in accordance with agency standards.
• Follow infection control, universal precautions, and safety protocols at all times.
• Adhere to agency policies, attend meetings, and communicate effectively with the care team.
