Job summary

Always Compassionate Health in Louisiana is seeking a dedicated Home Health Aide to follow a care plan, assist with personal hygiene, mobility, and daily activities, and provide emotional support to clients in their homes.

You will ensure a safe environment, document changes, follow supervisor directions, and comply with state training requirements. The position offers private pay options and is paid from $19.65 per hour and up, depending on case and experience.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Must have a Home Health Aide training certificate consistent with State requirements with evidence of ongoing in-service education to maintain the certificate.
• Must have the maturity necessary for establishing and maintaining a good work relationship with the client, the client’s family and agency personnel.
• Have a sincere interest in and a sympathetic attitude towards caring for the sick and disabled.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a healthy, safe environment. Providing nutritional and environmental support.
• Assist with personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, walking and feeding the client.
• Position the client when instructed to do so.
• Assist with certain treatments and therapy as ordered by the physician and approved by the nursing supervisor.
• Remind the client to take medications.
• Report any important information or changes in the client’s condition to the agency and/or the nursing supervisor when necessary.
• Carry out a wide variety of tasks under the direction of the nursing supervisor.
