Job summary

Right at Home Monterey Bay is hiring for Caregivers, CNAs, and HHAs to support seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes. We provide PPE, onboarding, and opportunities to improve quality of life in a caring, fast-growing organization.

Shift options include day and night, seven days a week. Valid driver’s license and background check required; CNA/Home Health Aide/Personal Care Aide certification preferred. Pay rate ranges from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• 1 year of experience in caregiving (Family members or professional)
• Willing to commute to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, Soquel areas
• Possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
• Pass a background check
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred
• Willing to complete all onboarding paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with transferring/moving clients in their home
• No more than 20% housekeeping activities (vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, dishes, changing bed linens, laundry, bathroom)
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
