Job summary

Right at Home Monterey Bay is hiring caregivers, CNAs, and HHAs to support seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes. The team provides essential in-home care with PPE and dedicated onboarding.

The role emphasizes compassion, reliability, and personalized assistance across day and night shifts. Pay ranges from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
• 1 year of caregiving experience (family or professional).
• Willing to commute to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, Soquel areas.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
• Pass a background check.
• CNA license, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred.
• Willing to complete all onboarding paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Limit housekeeping to no more than 20% of duties (vacuuming, dusting, etc.).
• Prepare meals and snacks per instructions.
• Accompany clients on errands or medical appointments.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist with prescribed range of motion exercises.
• Dementia care as needed.
• Offer companionship through reading, music, puzzles, etc.
