Job summary

Herewith is seeking a Dialysis Care Partner to support a female client at her home in Carencro, Louisiana. This role emphasizes safely operating the dialysis machine, maintaining a calm, reliable presence, and helping the client feel secure during in-home treatments.

You will set up therapy equipment, keep the treatment area clean, monitor safety, provide light ADL support, and document shifts. The ideal candidate has 1+ year dialysis experience (home or clinic), familiarity with NxStage

Qualifications

• 1+ year of dialysis experience (home or clinic).
• Familiarity with home dialysis systems (NxStage preferred).
• Willing to in-home dialysis support and complete training.
• Steady, supportive, patient, especially during adjustment.
• Strong communication and teamwork with clinical staff.
• Must pass Herewith background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dialysis treatment setup (NxStage or similar home machines).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment.
• Provide companionship and emotional reassurance.
• Help the patient stay on schedule with treatment times.
• Provide light ADL support as needed.
• Monitor safety and report concerns to the coordinating nurse.
• Maintain simple documentation and shift notes.
