Job summary

Village Caregiving - Paducah, KY is looking for caring aides to support clients at home with medication reminders, mobility assistance and personal care. You will help with therapy exercises, shopping, and light housekeeping while communicating with nurses and family members.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and CPR certification. Candidates should be respectful, compassionate, with strong communication and time management skills, plus physical endurance for daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Remind clients to take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended home exercises
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals
• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
