Job summary

Experience Champaign Urbana is seeking a HomeCare Assistant to provide non-medical supportive care to older adults in their homes. Responsibilities include assisting with daily tasks such as meal prep and transportation to appointments.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and should enjoy working with seniors. The position offers flexible scheduling and an hourly rate of $18.75, increased to $19.25 for those with a CNA.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate must be available by phone and successfully complete the HomeCare Assistant training program.
• Must pass a successful background check as required by Illinois Department of Public Health licensure.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with everyday tasks such as groceries, meal prep, and cleaning.
• Drive clients to appointments and assist with personal care.
• Monitor and report changes in clients’ status.
• Provide companionship and maintain a safe living environment.
