Job summary

Right at Home Indianapolis Southeast, IN is seeking a compassionate and dependable Professional Caregiver to provide high-quality personal care to clients in their homes across the greater Indianapolis area. The role emphasizes maintaining clients' independence and dignity, with duties including assisting with activities of daily living, light housekeeping, meal prep, mobility support, and companionship.

Prior caregiving experience and a valid driver's license are preferred, with training

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Previous caregiving or home care experience.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance may be required.
• Ability to pass a background check and any other screenings required by Indiana law.
• Strong communication skills and a caring, professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Help with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
• Provide light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation
• Remind clients to take medications as directed
• Monitor and report changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or agency staff
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
• Follow all care plans, safety procedures, and state regulations
