Job summary

Adventist HealthCare is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant for our Home Care Division in Silver Spring. The role focuses on delivering personal care, adhering to the Plan of Care, and maintaining a safe home environment while coordinating with clinical staff.

You will provide medication reminders, assist with ADLs, and support clients with routines and exercises. A CNA license, BLS, and First Aid are required, with CMA/CMT preferred; driving may be needed for home visits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active Maryland Board of Nursing Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Active Maryland Board of Nursing Certified Medication Technician/ CMA (preferred).
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• American Heart Association First Aid certification required.
• One year of experience after certification preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Keeps Client Service Coordinators informed of schedule availability.
• Provides personal care to clients to maximize satisfaction following the Plan of Care.
• Maintains safe home environment and provides medication reminders as instructed by RN.
• Delivers high-quality services aligned with client needs.
• Attends required staff meetings and completes online in-services.
• Communicates with Clinical and office staff on client issues and goals.
• Available to run errands for clients with signed waiver.
• Assists clients with exercises and ADLs; supports turning and repositioning as directed.
• Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates strong customer service.
• Maintains organization and computer skills to manage caseload and records.
