Job summary

Redwood-Family-Care-Network is seeking a part-time home care aide in Edmonds, WA to provide compassionate non-medical services to clients with developmental disabilities or elder care needs. Duties include following the client’s Plan of Care, assisting with activities of daily living, transportation, and companionship in King/Snohomish counties.

Qualifications include being over 18, English communication skills, independence, and strong boundaries.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal).
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be physically and mentally capable of caring for an individual who is ill, infirm, disabled or vulnerable.
• Understanding of professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Caring for a child/adult with special needs who cannot perform daily living skills independently.
• Implementing assigned clients’ Plan of Care.
• Assist with feeding and meal preparation.
• Assist with dressing and personal hygiene.
• Aid with toileting and continence.
• Help transfers and positioning (bed/wheelchair).
• Assist the family with housekeeping, shopping, meal planning and transportation as needed.
• Provide protective supervision to ensure client safety.
