Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Satisfactory completion of Agency qualifying exam.
• One year current homemaker experience in home healthcare.
• Empathetic attitude towards clients.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Must have HIV and ADRD training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide socialization, conversation and emotional reassurance to the client.
• Assist with light housekeeping and home management tasks.
• Encourage activities to promote well-being and mental stimulation.
• Ensure safety by following health and safety practices and report hazards.
• Escort clients to appointments, shopping or errands.
• Assist with nutrition, grocery shopping and meal prep.
• Maintain a clean and healthy home environment and assist with daily tasks.
• Complete documentation promptly in the patient record.
